Sept 14 at Bulacan

This day, Ptr. Mike Menez spoke to the members of De La Costa IV Baptist Church (Senior Pastor, Ptr. Jojo Milete) at San Jose, Del Monte Bulacan during the morning service (about 60 in attendance) and throughout the afternoon (about 45 in attendance). Ptr. Mike lectured on "The 7 Laws of Stewardship" throughout the day. The impact was great and we praise God for speaking to the hearts of the people. Attendance during the afternoon seminar was around 50.

Sept. 12 Sked at libis

Pastor Mike lectured on "Solving the People Puzzle" to staff employees of 'The Flower Shoppe", at Libis. It was a fruitful seminar. Women came to the Scriptural realization of a wife's submission to her husband. AFter the seminar, a number approached Ptr. Mike for counseling. We pray for life-changing commitments to come through.

 

Aug 30 sked at Marikina

On Aug 30, Saturday, Pastor Mike spoke to over 400 parents of the students
from a school in San Isidro, Marikina.PArents attentively listened as he
spoke about Effective parenting. Mayor Mon ilagan also graced this event.

August 23: IFBAP seminar

On Aug 23, Ptr. Mike spend the day with pastors and a number of leaders and laypeople of the Independent Fundamental Baptist Association of the Philippines of which, Rev. Boanerge Andaya,DD is the current President. Rev. Mike Andaya coordinated the event. Attendance totaled to 90. Ptr. Mike spent the day lecturing on Powertruths, Powertips, and Powerteach.

At the end of the day's lecture, Rev. Boanerge Andaya gave an altar call, and the attendees responded to the Spirit's prodding. It was awesome to see the Spirit move in their hearts. Kneeling on their knees, they made lifechanging commitments before the Lord that day.

August 31: Ministry with Kingswill Baptist Church

Today we worshipped together with the brethren of Kingswill Baptist Church, led by Ptr. Willy Cruz. The church is celebrating her 14th year anniversary, with the theme, "Making Disciples". Ptr. Mike gave a powerful message on Rediscovering (True) Biblical Discipleship. The people were very receptive to the message and challenge given. We pray for commitments to be made and followed through.

Invited to spend lunch with Ptr Willy and his wife, our fellowship time with them was truly enjoyed. It was encouraging to hear Ptr. Willy testify of God's faithfulness and healing back when he met with a serious accident (hit by a vehicle) that caused a cutting and removal of about an inch of his intestines. Ptr Willy and his wife are both currently taking further studies with ISOT. Both were engineers in their past profession (ECE and CE respectively). They studied at Word of Life, and were even married there. They now have 4 children, two of which are college students now, one at UP taking up ECE and the other at Bob Jones Memorial College taking up Voice.

We thank them and the church for this ministry and fellowship time together!

June 2-3: Overnight Retreat at Laguna

Last June 2 and 3, IGS staff and volunteers gathered for an overnight retreat/fellowship. Founding president Rev. Nelson de Jesus has just arrived from a two month trip to the US. We welcomed him back in celebration and praise to God for the greatness and goodness He has shown to Ptr. Nelson while there in the States.

 

The night was spent swimming and eating, others sang the night away. After dinner, time was spent for reporting and sharing of testimonies. We were updated by Ptr. Nelson regarding his trip and programs.  Aterwards, the bunch went swimming again.

 

The next day Ptr. Mike led the singing again and Ptr. Bani gave a devotional to the group. We were reminded once again that all praise, thanksgiving, and honor should be given to the giver, our great God, at all times. Afterwards, more reports from Ptr. Nelson were given and Ptr. Mike, the Executive Director gave a report next. Each pastor present gave testimonies as to how God is working in their lives and ministries. It was a blessed time encouraging and supporting one another, and praising God together for His faithfulness.

 

The gorup was dismissed at 5 P.M. It was a refreshing time for all staff and volunteers. It was a time of remembrance as well as a time of realization that God is still working miracles today. He will always carry out His plan and purpose for our lives and ministries.

June 6-7: CFBC Youth swimming and overnight fellowship: Faith Academy, Rizal

A week ago, the youth of CFBC spent the day swimming at Faith Academy, Rizal.  18 people joined us for the loose fellowship. We lunched at the playground area, after which, Ptr. Mike gave a short devotional to the group. We left FA at 6:30 P.M. and proceeded to the home of Deacon Sheilon Cadaoas and his wife Precy. Their 2 teens are part of the youth leadership.

 

The evening (and wee hours of the morning) were spent playing games, eating, and eating :). They gathered a short time for singing and had a short (and fun! ) LCM (Love, Courtship, and Marriage) interview portion with Ptr. Mike and his wife Lyka.

Today, June 15: Father's Day Message at Greenhills Christian Fellowship, Sta. Rosa, Laguna

Today we ministered to the flock of GC, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Their services are held at Cinema 1 of Robinson's Mall. About 175-200 people gathered for worship. Ptr. Mike gave a challenge to the men, to be the men God wants them to be. The wives and children were challenged as well to help their husbands and fathers be what God wants them to be.

 

After the corporate worship, the youth gave special presentations for the fathers. Keepsakes were given and Rev. Emerson Manaloto (GCF's pastor) prayed for the fathers.

 

We were treated out for lunch by Him and his family. They have a one month old newborn, their first one. We enjoyed fellowshipping with them at Pizza Hut.

 

We thank GCF, Sta. Rosa for inviting IGS and we thank our host, the Manaloto family for the food and fellowship.

 

May our fathers be enabled to live a life of greatest impact to their family and to society.

June 13, 2008: Secrets of the Vine at AMG, San Ildefonso, Bulacan

Last Firday, Ptr. Mike Menez spent the day with teachers at AMG, San Ildefonso, Bulacan. He held a seminar for them on "Secrets of the Vine" ( a breakthrough series title from Bruce Wilkinson). Indeed it was a breakthrough! About 40-50 attended and so many life changing decisions and commitments were made before the Lord.
 
We pray for strengthening; that commitments made by these brethren will follow through.
