Last June 2 and 3, IGS staff and volunteers gathered for an overnight retreat/fellowship. Founding president Rev. Nelson de Jesus has just arrived from a two month trip to the US. We welcomed him back in celebration and praise to God for the greatness and goodness He has shown to Ptr. Nelson while there in the States.
The night was spent swimming and eating, others sang the night away. After dinner, time was spent for reporting and sharing of testimonies. We were updated by Ptr. Nelson regarding his trip and programs. Aterwards, the bunch went swimming again.
The next day Ptr. Mike led the singing again and Ptr. Bani gave a devotional to the group. We were reminded once again that all praise, thanksgiving, and honor should be given to the giver, our great God, at all times. Afterwards, more reports from Ptr. Nelson were given and Ptr. Mike, the Executive Director gave a report next. Each pastor present gave testimonies as to how God is working in their lives and ministries. It was a blessed time encouraging and supporting one another, and praising God together for His faithfulness.
The gorup was dismissed at 5 P.M. It was a refreshing time for all staff and volunteers. It was a time of remembrance as well as a time of realization that God is still working miracles today. He will always carry out His plan and purpose for our lives and ministries.
